An abrasive crystal is made use of to improve the appearance of skin color, small acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles. It is also used for the treatment of enlarged pores, dull and thickened skin and certain stretch marks. During the procedure, a fine jet of inert and natural mineral crystal is spray projected on to the facial skin at a high velocity and vacuumed back again. The process removes the dry and dead overlying tissue, allowing the skin to rejuvenate with a fresh glow. The procedure is especially effective in improving skin color and texture. It stimulates the production of new skin cells and tightens the tissue collagen. Micro-dermabrasion can also be combined with a light chemical peel to enhance the effect. |
