Chemical Peel (alphahydroxy acids(AHAs)–Glycolic acid) Procedure
:
Restore wrin­kled, blemished, unevenly pigmented, or sun-damaged facial skin, soften acne or treat scars caused by acne , using a chemical solution to improve the skin's appearance.
Areas : Can be performed on the face, neck, chest, hands, arms, and legs
Length
:
10 to 15 min for full face.
Anesthesia : None.
In/Outpatient
:
Outpatient.
Sequelae
:
Mild tingling or stinging sensation when the solution is applied.Dryness of skin, redness (Temporary if any).
Precaution : Protection from sunlight
Recovery
:
No downtime- can immediately resume normal activities (“lunch hour” peels ) .
Duration of Results
:
Variable.
Chemical peeling may be combined with laser resurfacing , micro dermabrasion or soft tissue fillers, botox to achieve cost-effective skin rejuvenation customized to the needs of the individual patient.
